Many forecasters are putting an emphasis on severe weather potential for Monday, May 6, 2024. Stay weather aware and remember these things for severe weather in Marlow:
1. Storm sirens sound when a tornado warning has been issued for the city.
2. New storm sirens are located at 81 and Legion, 81 and Seminole, and at the end of Glendon at the softball fields. All old sirens are no longer operational. The new sirens sounded during the last storms of April 27, 2024 when an EF0 tornado skirted the west on north sides of the city.
3. Tornado warnings for the 73055 zip code can be accessed by texting "73055" to 888-777. This signs you up for NIXLE. When sirens sound, you will receive a NIXLE message of what the siren means. Sign up today as part of your preparations.
